Are there fake abortion clinics in Queens?
Yes. There are at least seven fake clinics in Queens, and 12 more in nearby Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, Hempstead, and East Meadow, as of October 2026. Fake clinics, also called crisis pregnancy centers, look like medical offices but don’t offer abortion care.
Watch for these red flags:
- Abortion services aren’t listed clearly
- Staff won’t share pricing or timelines over the phone
- The business advertises “counseling” or “options education” instead of abortion care
- The address shows up for “abortion near me” searches but it isn’t a medical clinic
- Staff pressure you to continue the pregnancy, or promote “abortion reversal”
Verify a clinic with INeedAnA.com or AbortionFinder.org, and report fake clinics at exposefakeclinics.com.
