Abortion in New Jersey is legal at any point during a pregnancy. There are no gestational age limits that restrict abortion access based on how many weeks pregnant you are.
Since 1983, New Jersey has recognized abortion care as a constitutional right and continues to uphold access safe and legal abortion services. More recently, New Jersey passed a law in January 2022 guaranteeing the right to terminate or keep a pregnancy.
