I initially tried to access an abortion through my own doctor, but it was taking longer than I wanted, so I did some research and found Hey Jane. Hey Jane was enormously helpful and supportive in this process for me. I received all medications quickly and they offered support by real people throughout the entire process. The instructions for use were crystal clear and easy for me to follow, especially the messaging around how to know something is wrong and when to seek medical attention. My own doctor actually uses the same pharmaceutical vendor as Hey Jane to send out the medication, so that was also incredibly reassuring and comforting for me. While the experience of having a medical abortion was unpleasant and physically painful, I’m glad I had access to Hey Jane.
