Birth control that works with your lifestyle
Our team of providers will partner with you to find the best birth control option for your body and lifestyle preferences. From pills and the ring to consultations for an IUD, we work together to find the right solution for you.

What form of birth control is right for me?
We listen to your medical history, lifestyle needs, and birth control preferences to recommend options that work for you. At Hey Jane, our providers can help with:
The pill
Take by mouth daily
A small, daily pill that may have a combination of estrogen and progesterone (two hormones) or just progesterone.
The patch
Replace weekly
The patch is a thin, two inch plastic square that sticks to your skin and releases hormones to prevent you from getting pregnant.
The ring
Replace monthly or yearly, depending on the brand
The ring is a small, bendable plastic ring that you insert into your vagina. It's a lot like putting in a tampon.
The shot
One injection every 3 months
A shot you can give yourself under the skin that keeps you from getting pregnant.
Ready to get started?
We currently only treat patients 18+ who are in CA, CO, CT, IL, MD, NJ, NM, NY, or WA, but will be expanding to more states in the future.
You’ll be asked questions about your past and current health, your contraceptive preferences, and your family planning goals.
We’re here to help. You can talk with a provider about your options via chat or a quick phone call.
One of our licensed medical providers will send your prescription to your preferred local pharmacy, which will notify you when it’s ready.
Still have questions?
Hey Jane supports a wide variety of birth control methods and options. If you’re looking for a specific brand, you can request it from your provider.
Birth control options covered by your insurance may vary. We will work together to identify the best option that fits your needs.
That depends on you! Your schedule, your preferences, your life! If you need more information on the different methods, here is a great resource our Clinical Team recommends.
A pelvic exam is not needed for most forms of birth control!
Right now, the only method that prevents both pregnancy and infections are condoms.
Hey Jane offers income-based sliding-scale pricing for patients who don’t have in-network insurance coverage.
We are currently in-network with the following insurance plans for birth control consultations:
- Aetna (CA, CO, CT, IL, NJ, NM, NY, or WA)
- Sana Benefits (CA, CO, CT, IL, MD, NJ, NM, NY, or WA)
If you have one of these plans, the cost of care will vary depending on your plan. We are actively working on expanding our insurance coverage.
Hey Jane’s birth control prescriptions typically include 12 months of refills. As you get close to the end of your refills, we will reach out on Spruce to ask if you would like to renew! You can always check in with us before then if you are having any issues or have any questions.
Hey Jane does not offer home delivery of birth control at this time. Your provider will send your prescription to your preferred local pharmacy for pickup. Some pharmacies have their own delivery services, so we recommend giving yours a call if you’re curious!
