I never thought I’d get an abortion until I got pregnant 4 months postpartum while still battling the effects of PPD. I live in California with good insurance, I was surprised how hard it was to get prescribed the abortion pills. One doctor said he straight up wasn’t comfortable with giving it to me due to religious reasons even though I was only 3 weeks pregnant at the time. Hey Jane took the shame out of this process, and made it simple and easy. I paid without insurance and their discount program really helped cover the cost. My experience with the pills was amazing as well. I had almost no cramping and I immediately expelled the pregnancy. I was only 6 weeks so maybe that’s why I didn’t have many side effects. I tested negative on my pregnancy test just a few weeks later. It couldn’t have gone better and now I can focus on the baby I have and healing from PPD. So grateful for everything!
