I had 5 weeks pregnancy, I contacted other healthcare but it was hard to reach them (phone call or make an appointment by email). I found Hey Jane online, I've never heard of Hey Jane but found good reviews, I decided to contact them. It was very helpful experience, they asked many questions to figure out my condition and sent some files about medication. It took a while to answer all questions and read instructions but it really helped me to understand my condition. Also "message" works really well, answering my questions and concerns made me less anxious.

Out of all the abortion websites this one felt more welcoming. The pamphlets and information listed really helped guide my husband and I through this process and helped him feel more prepared to be there for me. Price is about the same as others if not using insurance and I do wish financial aide was a little easier to apply for. However, they were very thorough and fast at responding when questions came up. I am so grateful this was an option. I went to my gynecologist first. I would have to make an appointment which I did and would be able to be seen a couple days later. There was nothing sooner. The appointment would include an ultrasound to check how far along the pregnancy was followed by another appointment to discuss my options. This seemed unnecessarily complicated and long because I knew exactly when I had sex, my period history, my regular and normal periods, and the option I wanted for ending the pregnancy. After I made the appointment, I called my insurance to ask if this was covered and it was not. I called back to ask if they would bill any of the services as an elective abortion which isn’t covered and they would so it would have been much more expensive due to the multiple visits and additional testing I did not feel was needed in my case. Not to mention I would need to take time off to do all of this and work around my busy schedule and my son’s busy schedule with school and extracurricular activities since I am a single mom and am the only person who can take him. I also was stressed because I didn’t want to continue pregnant if I didn’t have to be as it would affect my life, my mood, health and emotional health dragging out the process. I called Planned Parenthood to see what options I had there instead. But the process was so long just to get an appointment because I had to call to speak to someone about scheduling a virtual visit and it would still be 699 which was not affordable out of pocket. I made that appointment anyway because I thought it would be much cheaper than my gynecologist. The appointment though would take at least two hours over virtual visit and again I would need to take off additional time because the only soonest appointments were while I worked. I finally tried looking up to see if there was a mail option and I found you guys. It was so quick and easy and it made me feel empowered to make my decision as stressful as it was. I was able to take the first dose as soon as it came in and take the second dose when it was right for me on my schedule and I did not have to miss work or figure out how to get my son to school or practice due to my medical needs. I was able to take care of myself and do this in my own way to honor and respect myself and my body. Thank you.
